ZADAR (Croatia) - Amsterdam (NED) made a statement, going perfect in pool play on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Zadar on May 15.
AMSTERDAM CRUISE IN POOL PLAY
A comfortable start to their journey in Zadar as Amsterdam swept past their opposition on Day 1. They defeated Los Angeles 21 - 7 off the back of an 8-point game from Jan Driessen followed by a 20 - 12 victory over Shanghai. Worthy put up 8 points and 6 rebounds in their closing win of the day as they look to capture their first stop win of the season on Day 2.
MIAMI HANDLE BUSINESS
The American side felt back to their usual self in Zadar as they also secured a 2-0 record in pool play. It was a confident 22 - 10 victory over Fuengirola followed by a nervy 22 - 19 result over Vienna.
While two contrasting games, both saw James Parrott take the helm with mammoth performances. He finished the day with 19 points and the game-winning two against Vienna, not to mention his stellar impact defensively striking through every game.
DOMINANT UB
Coming off the back of an incredible stop win in Chengdu, Ub followed through on their momentum with a perfect pool display. It was a 21 - 13 victory over Baskets Bonn along with a gritty 16 - 14 win over Toronto. Filip Kaluderovic imposed himself on both games, 8 points in their opener before adding in a 5 point - 6 rebound display to close out a perfect start.
