Dominican Republic actually committed one more turnover than Virgin Islands (18-17), but they took advantage of the 17 turnovers they forced with a 23-11 advantage in points from turnovers.

Despite the loss, Virgin Islands got the chance to play all but one player and every player who saw minutes tonight got into the scoring column with Ivan Aska and Romani Hansen each scoring 10 points.

With the win, Dominican Republic are now 1-1 in Group B, and they will close group play against Argentina on Tuesday September 6, while Virgin Islands are now 0-2 in the group and will face Puerto Rico on the same day.

"I'm feeling great, but I'm feeling better for my teammates. We got a lot of young guys who are getting opportunity in this tournament and I'm really proud of them. I wouldn't be able to do all of this without them." - Angel Delgado, Dominican Republic
