    Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Chris Mullen, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson and Christian Laettner ushered in a new era of the game by taking on Cuba and rolled to a 136-57 victory on June 28 1992.

    The USA never looked back, winning all six of their games at the FIBA AmeriCup, which was then known as the Tournament of the Americas.
