FIBA Americas to organize Referee Pre-Competition Clinic

MIAMI (FIBA U18 Americas Championship 2018) – The FIBA Americas Referee Department to hold Pre-Competition Clinic for participating officers before the start of the FIBA U18 Americas Championship 2018 in St. Catherines, Canada.

“The 2018 FIBA U18 Americas Championship is a very important competition for the Americas, and for that reason we have selected a group of the referees with the potential to be the top referees of our zone” said FIBA Americas Referee Director Mr. Geraldo Fontana.

“Our goal is to continuously develop referees to meet the current and future needs of basketball. During the Pre-Competition Clinic, our focus will be to improve their leadership. Increase their attitude and professionalism that will provide a service in the development of basketball and our zone referees,” concluded Fontana.
