STOCKHOLM (Sweden) - The future stars of international women’s basketball will chase glory this summer at the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket.
The tournament will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on August 1-9.
Who is participating?
A total of 16 teams will compete for the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket title. They have been split into four groups of four for the Group Phase, as follows:
Group A: France, Germany, Czechia, Hungary Group B: Finland, Sweden, Italy, Belgium Group C: Spain, Montenegro, Türkiye, Slovenia Group D: Serbia, Croatia, Latvia, Poland
What is the schedule?
The Group Phase will take place over the tournament’s opening three days, with teams advancing to the Round of 16 based on their final group standings. From there, the competition will follow a knockout bracket format through to the Final on August 9, while Classification games will determine all 16 final positions.
There are also five spots to be determined from Europe to qualify for the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2027 in Chengdu, China.

Who were the winners in 2025?
Spain ended Finland's fairytale run in last summer's U18 Final by sealing an 81-72 triumph on home soil.
Sara Okeke led the way for Spain in the Final with 23 points, along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals in a virtuoso performance that saw the hosts lift their sixth title.
Earlier, France had secured their place on the podium for the fifth straight edition as they eased to a 72-47 success over Belgium. Anna Tournebize helped turn on the style with a two-handed throwdown en route to the emphatic win.
Down at the bottom, Greece, Portugal and Israel were the three teams relegated to Division B, with Sweden, Germany and Croatia replacing them this summer.
Former MVPs
Spain's Sara Okeke captured the Most Valuable Player award of the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2025 after leading the hosts to their sixth title triumph.
The center averaged 13.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, shooting 57 percent from the floor, which was capped off with a 23-point, 7-rebound and 3-steal showpiece against Finland in the Final. A performance worthy of an MVP honor.
