GIBRALTAR (Gibraltar) – The FIBA European Championship for Small Countries celebrates its 20th edition this year in Gibraltar.
The tournament takes place from June 23-28 as the teams battle it out for the crown.
Who is participating?
A total of four teams will compete for the title. They are in one group and comprise the following teams.
Group A: Gibraltar, Andorra, Malta, San Marino
What is the schedule?
The Group Phase will take place over the first three days, with a rest day on June 26. The Semi-Finals will occur with the team that finished first playing the fourth-placed side, and the second-placed side playing the team in third.
The Final will take place on June 28, along with the Third Place Game.

Who were the winners in 2024?
Host nation Andorra lifted their sixth FIBA European Championship for Small Countries title with a narrow 84-79 triumph over Malta in the Final.
Bruno Bartolome made it rain as he went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc for 24 points, as Sergi Serrato added 22 for the winners.
It was a tough night for Malta after their loss in the Final, but the consolation prize came in the form of the Most Valuable Player award for their big man, Samuel Deguara.
San Marino beat Gibraltar 73-70 in an overtime thriller to capture bronze. They were led by Tomaso Felici's 19-point, 11-rebound double-double performance.
Roll of honor
Andorra continue their stranglehold on top spot as the most successful team in this competition, while Iceland, Ireland, Austria, Azerbaijan and Armenia all have two titles in this event.
