All you need to know before FIBA 3x3 World Tour Vienna 2026

The World Tour's fifth stop promises another unforgettable Vienna spectacle

VIENNA (Austria) - The FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2026 heads to one of its most iconic destinations as the world's best players and teams prepare for an electrifying three-day basketball festival at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Vienna 2026 on June 12-14.

Held alongside the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Vienna stop, fans can expect non-stop action as the fifth stop of the World Tour season takes center stage in Austria's capital.

Here's all you need to know before the action gets underway.

    Where is the event?

Few cities blend history, culture and sport quite like Vienna.

Austria's capital is renowned worldwide for its imperial architecture, classical music heritage and vibrant café culture. Home to landmarks such as Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera, the city consistently ranks among the world's most livable destinations.

In recent years, Vienna has also become one of the premier destinations on the FIBA 3x3 calendar, regularly delivering packed crowds, unforgettable atmospheres and some of the most spectacular moments of the World Tour season.

The FIBA 3x3 World Tour Vienna 2026 will be played from June 12-14 and will take place at Lothringerstraße 22.

    When is it?

    🔸Friday, June 12 - WS & WT Qualifying Draw 🔸Saturday, June 13 - WS & WT Pool Games 🔸Sunday, June 14 - WS & WT Finals

The combined events promise non-stop entertainment as the world’s best men’s and women’s teams take center stage across three days.

    Who are the teams?

Defending Vienna champions Ub (SRB) return as the No.1 seed and once again enter the tournament as one of the teams to beat.

Led by superstar Nemanja Barac, the Serbian powerhouse will look to continue its dominance on the Pro Circuit and successfully defend the title they captured in Vienna last season.

Fellow Serbian contender Liman (SRB) arrives as the second seed and boasts one of the deadliest shooters in the game in Andreja Milutinovic, while Skyliners (GER) enter with plenty of confidence after several German stars recently helped their country reach its first-ever FIBA 3x3 World Cup Final.

Olympic champions Amsterdam RABOBANK (NED), Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU), Toronto (CAN), hometown team Vienna (AUT) and Baskets Bonn (GER) complete a stacked top-eight seeded field.

    How does the competition work?

Three teams are seeded in the Qualifying Draw, where the top team will earn a spot in the Main Draw.

The 12-team Main Draw is divided into four pools of three, with only the top two finishers in each group punching their ticket to the knockout phase.

From the Quarter-Finals onward, it’s win-or-go-home intensity culminating in Sunday’s Final. That means that every pool play matchup is a high-stakes battle for those limited playoff spots.

    Who won last year?

Serbian side Ub (SRB) took the crown in FIBA 3x3 WT Vienna last year, delivering a memorable run to secure the title at the 2025 edition.

    Which players should you watch?

There will be no shortage of star power in Vienna.

Defending champion Nemanja Barac headlines the field after helping Serbia claim bronze at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026. Fellow Serbian star Andreja Milutinovic remains one of the most feared long-range shooters on the circuit.

Germany's Niklas Kropp and Denzel Agyeman arrive fresh from a historic World Cup campaign, while Bryan Alberts hopes to lead Amsterdam RABOBANK to its first World Tour title of the season.

Watch out too for Toronto sniper Thibaut Vervoort, Austrian star Quincy Diggs in front of his home fans, and Lithuanian veteran Evaldas Džiaugys as Raudondvaris Hoptrans seek a breakthrough performance.
