MIES (Switzerland) - The 11th season of the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL reached its starting point, with 32 clubs ready to fight for a spot at the Final Four, to be held in May 2027.

Ahead of the first 16 games, we put together a list of all the things you should know about the BCL.

    Champions

The last Final Four event in Badalona, Spain was won by Rytas Vilnius, adding the Lithuanian flag to the list of Basketball Champions League winners.

They defeated the 2018 champions AEK BC in the Championship Game, painting the BCL red.

    Groups preview

Our writer Cesare Milanti has been in action over the previous weeks, previewing two groups at a time to give you an idea what to expect in Season 11.

Why two at a time, you ask? Because the competition format is such, two neighboring groups will match up in the Play-Ins in January, giving us the last eight teams to advance to the Round of 16 group phase, where groups winners from Groups A to H will already be waiting.

    Player Power Rankings

Meanwhile, our columnist Diccon Lloyd-Smeath also stayed busy over the summer. First, he picked out the Top 50 players of the BCL decade (50-41, 40-31, 30-21, 20-11, 10-6, 5-1).

Then, being a fan of lists, he counted down the Top 15 players to watch in the BCL in Season 11, divided across two columns.

    From #15 to #6
    From #5 to #1

Agree with the list? Don't agree? Let us know, or better yet, let him know in the comments on our social media profiles.
