ANTANANARIVO (Madagascar) - The continent's best teams will fight for supremacy as the pools have been revealed amid much excitement for the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup on December 5-7.
The fifth edition sees Algeria start as the No.1 men's seed as they look to go even further than their historic bronze medal run last year. Algeria are the headline team in Pool A featuring Democratic Republic of the Congo and Seychelles - two teams desperate for their first continental medals.
No.2 seed Benin fell short to Algeria in the bronze medal game last year and will be desperate for redemption as they start as the team to beat in Pool B featuring Kenya and Zambia.
Pool C has a blockbuster between third seed Uganda and two-time former champion Egypt, with Tunisia aiming to prove they aren't a third wheel.
The most intriguing early game just has to be the rematch of last year's final between defending champs Madagascar and Rwanda. The third team in Pool D will come from QD featuring Botswana, Comoros and Somalia.
