All 12 players from Window 1 return for Gilas with three new additions

    MANILA (Philippines) - The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) have formally announced a 15-player pool for the upcoming window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.

    Gilas Pilipinas will be riding the wave after an undefeated Window 1 run over Hong Kong, China and Chinese Taipei. They will be going up against a familiar foe in New Zealand in Manila on Thursday, November 21 before hosting Hong Kong, China on Sunday, November 24.

    The announced pool of players features familiar faces like Justin Brownlee, Kai Sotto, and Dwight Ramos. As a matter of fact, all 12 players who played in Window 1 are named in the pool.

    The three additions to this pool who did not play in Window 1 are Ange Kouame, who played in the previous Qualifiers of the World Cup, Asia Cup, and the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in 2021, Mason Amos, the youngster who made his senior national team debut in the World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, and AJ Edu who shined as a defensive stalwart at World Cup 2023.
