ABIDJAN (AfroBasket/FIBA Basketball World Cup) - Senegal stunned Nigeria 64-63 and rolled into the AfroBasket Semi-Finals thanks to an astonishing performance by Maleye Ndoye who came up with three three-pointers and led his team in scoring with 13 points.

Senegal interrupted Nigeria's intention of securing one of three African places for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, as they will play the tournament's Semi-Finals for the first time since 2005 when they lost to Angola in the Final.

In the first Quarter-Final, Angola secured their record 16th consecutive AfroBasket Semi-Final appearance with a 95-73 win over Morocco.

Olimpio Cipriano and Leonel Paulo provided a huge lift off the bench, combining for 30 points.

Cipriano hit four three-pointers on his way to 16 points, while Paulo converted all his six shots and two free-throws.

Morocco's Abdelhakim Zouita poured in a game-high 25 points, but this was not the moment for Morocco's first win over Angola since 1983.

In the second Quarter-Final, Cape Verde were left heartbroken following a 74-73 defeat against an Egyptian team that maintains its FIBA Basketball World Cup alive.

Despite a win-less three-game run in the Preliminary Round, Sheriff Abd Alla paced the Egyptians to their second win in the Final Round of the tournament with 18 points.

They joined hosts Cote d'Ivoire who reached the Semi-Finals for the second time since 2009 following a 71-56 win over Cameroon.

Mouloukou Diabate had an excellent performance as he scored 15 of his team-high 18 points from behind the arc, hitting five three-pointers.

Cameroon failed to make the most of Cote d'Ivoire's 22 turnovers and trailed by as many as 17 points.

Christian Bayang played his best game of the tournament with a game-high 20 points.

In Friday’s Semi-Finals, Cote d'Ivoire will take on Angola, while Egypt face Senegal.
