ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - From 8-9 August, the Afro Colloque brought together technical officials from the following countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Algeria, Madagascar, Sierra Leone, Mali, Senegal, Chad, Comoros, Guinea, Cameroon, and Uganda.
The event was led by FIBA instructors Joe Toumou and Nour Amri, with technical support from the NBA. It featured the participation of Hamchetou Maiga Ba, a former Malian international and member of the FIBA Players’ Commission.
The goal was to discuss the pillars of youth women’s basketball development in Africa and identify areas in which technical staff can improve their knowledge of physical conditioning, technical skills, and basketball concepts in order to reach the highest level.
