    Diarra, Fula, Kamayengue, Hamad dominate Semi-Finals act

    With Bangui Sporting Club of Central Africa Republic and FUS Rabat of Morocco already certain of their places, four players stood out in the two games.

     

    YAOUNDE (Cameroon) - The Semi-Final games of the Elite 16 West Division came with many expectations especially as it was to determine the first and second tickets to the BAL 2024 Season.

    With Bangui Sporting Club of Central Africa Republic and FUS Rabat of Morocco already certain of their places, four players stood out in the two games.

    YASSER KAMAYENGUE (Bangui Sporting Club)

    Kamayengue was the man running the offense for Bangui SC and causing trouble for Al Ahly Benghazi.

    He was on the court for 24:40 minutes but his impact was huge as his drives and off-the-ball movement saw him scoring 16 points while creating 4 assists.

    Kamayengue starts to make a case to the revelation player of the West Division Elite 16. 

    ROLLY FULA (BANGUI SPORTING CLUB)

    The DR Congo international forward came off the bench with a mission and he fulfilled it to the best of is ability, finishing 18 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist for his 31:37 minutes on the court.

    On the night of his team’s qualification for the fourth edition of the BAL, Fula was ever present in the face of Ater Majok and gave him no breathing space and restricting the former BAL winner to 7 points in the game.

    SOFIAN HAMAD (AL AHLY BENGHAZI)

    Despite being on the losing end of the table in the game against Bangui Sporting Club, Hamad was the star player for his team.

    He played for only 28:36 minutes but his work efficiency was 27 while scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. He was 5-for-5 from the free-throw line, 7-for-11 field goals and 6-for-10 in 2 points.

    ALIOU DIARRA (FUS RABAT)

    The power forward is not one to sit back and watch things go by him. With an amazing efficiency rate of 37 in 29:23 minutes of play, Diarra was the force that FUS relied on.

    He got injured during the game but played on with a double-double score of 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish the game as he had to be helped out of the court.

    The Malian international player finished with the remarkable figures of 18 points, 21 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
