MONASTIR (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) - Three games into the FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017 Zone 1 Qualifiers in the Tunisian city of Monastir, and Moroccan side of AS Sale and Algerian champions GS Petroliers continue going from strength to strength.

With just two games remaining for each team, the two teams remain in a pole position to secure the only two tickets available for the upcoming Finals, which will take place in Rades, on the outskirts of the Tunisian capital of Tunis from December 11-20.

While GS Petroliers on Monday outscored Maghreb A.Sportive 71-68 to register their third win in as many games, AS Sale followed suit improving their record to 3-0 following an 88-66 victory over Libyan side of Al Nasr Benghazi.

Meanwhile, hosts Union Sportive Monistirienne bounced back from Sunday's defeat to AS Sale, destroying Al-Ittihad of Libya 94-65.

In the process, both GS Petroliers and AS Sale remain as the only undefeated teams in the six-team regional Qualifiers.

All six teams will have a day off break on Tuesday.

So far, teams qualified include hosts ES Rades, Kano Pillars and Gome Bulls (both from Nigeria), AS Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malabo Kings (TBC) of Equatorial Guinea, City Oilers (Uganda), Interclube de Luanda and Sport Libolo e Benfica (Angola).

Mozambique champions Ferroviario da Beira have been awarded one of two wild cards.

The Qualifier resumes on Wednesday, December 6 with the following fixtures:

Maghreb A. Sportive  (Morocco) v Al-Nasr Benghazi (Libya)
USM (Tunisia) v GS Petroliers (Algeria)
