    LAGOS (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) - Kano Pillars and Gombe Bulls basketball clubs extend their unbeaten run to 3-0 at the ongoing FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017 zone 3 Qualifiers.

    Kano Pillars defeated ASPAC of Benin 81-63 points as four of their players finished the game in double figure.

    Youthful forward Peter Echoi landed a double double of 14 points, 10 rebound, while Azuoma Dike and Abubakar Usman added 15 points apiece. Lucky Subel contributed 14 points to Pillars winning cause.
    ASPAC trio of Romaric Quenum, Mamadou Savadogo and Ayachoubou posted 17 points, 12 points and 10 points respectively.

    The second game of the day, Customs Braves of Ghana did not as side Nigeria Civil Defence have withdrawn from the tournament after two games.

    Gombe Bulls edged out Mark Mentors basketball club 75-67 points in the last game of the day.
    Sylvanus Yakubu led the way with 24 points while Abdulwahab Yakubu added 12 points to ensure victory for the Abdulrahman Mohammed tutored team.

    Mark Mentors’ Wisdom Anyaoha and Ochebi Okpe recorded double figures of 23 and 19 points respectively.

    Thursday is rest day for all the participating teams with actions resuming on Friday.
