RADES(FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) - Nigerian side Gombe Bulls basketball will be making their debut at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup set to take place from December 11-20 in Rades, Tunisia with the hope to spring some surprises.

Before taking off to Tunisia, Abdulralman Muhammed, the head coach of the team told FIBA.basketball, "the other teams should not underrate our team as a first timer in the continent biggest club competition".

The Gombe based-side earned their rights to partake in this year's FIBA ACC thanks to a Second-Place finish at the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Qualifiers and, the player-caller is optimistic that the Bulls are out to create some surprises.

Muhammed - a former captain of Nigeria D'Tigers- insists the team is not under "any kind of pressure being debutant but will surely compete".

"I am confident that we will not be a spectator when the competition gets underway but other teams should expect some upsets".

"Being a debutant has somehow remove pressure from our shoulders as we are not known as a continental heavyweights, but the players are eager to prove a point that our qualification is not a fluke," Muhammed concluded.
