Draw results in for 2016 FIBA Africa U18 Women's Championship

CAIRO (2016 FIBA Africa U 18 Women's Championship) - The draw for the 2016 FIBA Africa U18 Women's Championship took place on Thursday at the Le Passage Hotel in the Egyptian capital city of Cairo.

The results of the draw are as follows:
Group A: 1. Egypt; 2. Algeria; 3. Angola; 4. Madagascar.
Group B: 1. Mali; 2. Tunisia; 3. Mozambique; 4. Uganda; 5. Cote d’Ivoire

The Preliminary Phase of the tournament will be played in a round robin format with each team taking over its opponent respectively.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the Final Phase, played in a knockout format from the Quarter-Finals onwards (Semi-Finals and Final).

The 3rd Place Game and the Final will be played on the last day of the tournament (4 September).

The Winner and the Runners-up will secure tickets for 2017 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship due to take place in the Italian city of Udine.
