    KIGALI (FIBA Africa U18 Championship 2016) - Angola sailed to a 127-29 victory over Benin in their FIBA Africa U18 championship Day two game on Saturday night at Amahoro National Stadium of Kigali, Rwanda.

    Bruno Fernandes poured in game high 33 points to help Angola clinch their second straight win in Group B. As result, Angola made a big step close to a place in the last eight.

    Abdel Bariyou Toukourou scored Benin’s highest points in their losing effort.

    Hosts Rwanda edged out Cote d’Ivoire 74-65 after a much fought contest against the West Africans who were determined to maintain a winning run.

    It was a big man’s show with forward Enoch Kisa Kyeyune dropping a game high 17 points with the in-form Jean Nshobozwabyosenumukiza adding 14 points to ensure victory. in front of a fully packed stadium.

    Algeria started their campaign with an 84-52 win over Gabon to show early intent in the tournament and went up to second place in Group A with two points, two behind table leaders Rwanda.

    Meanwhile, Uganda suffered a second straight loss after falling to defending champions Egypt 87-48, but the debutants showed much determination for an underdog tagged side.

    In day two's last clash,Tunisia earned a hard fought win against DR Congo after coming from down in the second quarter to go on and win 70-67 in the last three seconds of the game.
