Cameroon sides dominate FIBA Africa Champions Cup Zone 4, advance to Final Round

BRAZZAVILLE (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2016) - Two Cameroonian teams punched their tickets for next month’s FIBA Africa Champions Cup ACC 2016.
Early this week, Yaounde-based BEAC dominated the FIBA Africa Zone 4 qualifiers in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, finishing undefeated in six games, while Cameroon champions Nzui-Manto advanced to the ACC Final Round thanks to a 4-2 record.
If all goes according to plan, this will be the first time two Cameroonian sides compete in the same annual ACC edition.
As well as the two Cameroonian sides, the seven-team qualifier gathered teams from the Democratic Republic of Congo (BC Mazembe and SCTP), Republic of Congo (Inter-Club and Patronage),and Panthers (Equatorial Guinea).
This year’s ACC will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 7-16 December, and the two Cameroon teams will join Recreativo do Libolo and Primeiro D’Agosto (both from Angola), Kano Pillars and Customs (both from Nigeria), hosts Al Allhy, City Oilers (Uganda), and ASCUT (Madagascar).
In meantime, later this week, Zone 1 teams AS Sale and Chabab RIF Al Hoceima (both from Morocco), Tunisian champions Club Africain, Groupement Sportif Petroliers (Algeria), and Libyan sides Al-Nasser and Alhali will be fighting in Hoceima, Morocco, for the two places on offer for the ACC 2016.
