Tunisia powerhouse and BAL winner have lured back Ater Majok and Chris Crawford, the Basketball Africa League (BAL) leaders in points, rebounds and blocks back to the team.

PERRY JOINS HOOPERS

Rivers Hoopers have completed the signing of Will Perry for the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL).

Perry who played for Ferroviario da Beira for two consecutive BAL seasons helped his team reach the quarter final of the 2023 BAL.

SCOUTZ CEO ACQUIRES BOTSWANA CHAMPIONS DOLPHINS

In an effort to create a powerhouse in the Basketball Africa League (BAL), Scoutz CEO Antonio Pina has acquired Botswana champions Dolphins.

The team played in BAL qualifiers in 2019 and 2023. This move has created lots of excitement in Gaborone.

SOUTH SUDAN BOSS LUOL DENG BACK THE HELM

Luol Deng was returned as the President of the South Sudan Basketball Federation (SSBF) boss for a four year-term.

Also elected was Secretary Dr Arou Ramadan and Wal Paul as Secretary of Finance.

APR  IN QATAR FOR A SERIES OF FRIENDLIES

Rwandese Champions APR Basketball Club are in Qatar for a series of friendly matches ahead of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2024.

Mazen Trakh charges have lined up matches against Al Wakram, Al Rayyan Club and an All Star Team.

LOME TO HOST FIRST WEST AFRICA BASKETBALL CLASSIC

Togo capital city of Lome will host the first phase of the West Africa Basketball Classics that has drawn six teams,

The teams are host SWALLOWS, ASPAC (Guinee), ELAN Coton (Benin), Nigeria sides Kwara Falcons and Gidi Giants will also participate. Former NBA star Olumide Oyedeji is leading a group of independent minds to set up the Classics.

ODERO SIGNS FOR KENYA LEADERS NAIROBI CITY THUNDER

Kenya League leaders Nairobi CityThunder have added Morans guard Albert Odero to their impressive roster as they search for the first national league title.

Odero was one of the most impressive players in the Kenya team in their 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Window 1 in Monastir, Tunisia.

IVORIAN LEAGUE CHANGES ITS  NAME

The Ivorian League has changed its name and will now be called the “Gold League”. The league’s throw off date is set for March 3.

BURKINA FASO LEAGUE TIPS OFF

In Burkina Faso, the start of the 2023-2024 sports season of the Burkinabè Basketball Federation (FEBBA) got off on February 24, 2024.

GABON IN MALABO FOR FRIENDLY MATCHES

Gabon National team, The Panthers arrived in Malabo where they will play against Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinee on February 28-29. They will use the matches as part of their preparations for the FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers.
