    EGYPT CLINCH 7th IN PRESTIGIOUS YOUTH TOURNAMENT 

    In the build-up to this year's FIBA U18 African Championship, Egypt had a historic campaign at the 2024 Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Manheim, Germany. 

    The Pharaohs beat Japan U17 team 74-62 in the final day of the 30th edition of the 12-team tournament to finish seventh, an improvement of three places compared to their 2018 campaign.

    Egypt beat Japan, Germany U17 and China.

    Australian Rocco Zikarsky was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after leading his country in a 71-65 title game against Serbia.

    BK ARENA TO HOST LEAGUE GAMES

    Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA) announced last week that - for the first time this year - the state-of-the-art BK Arena will hosts games of second phase of the country's basketball league. 

    FERWABA informed that BK Arena was fully booked during the first phase of the league.

    INTERCLUBE REIGN SUPREME IN ANGOLAN CUP

    Interclube upset Petro de Luanda 75-72 to lift the 2024 Angola Cup Trophy. It was the National Police-funded team's first-ever Angola Cup trophy.

    MOAND CLINCH GABON'S CUP TITLE

    In Gabon, Moanda Basketball Club won the 2024 National Cup by beating Espoit BC 69-67 in overtime. 

    ADAM EL GHAZI

    According to Morocco's We're Basketball Platform, Adam El Ghazi was the National League's most outstanding player - voted by fans - for the month of March.

    DR CONGO OVERCOME REPUBLIC OF CONGO IN FRIENDLY GAMES

    The DR Congo women's national team closed a friendly two-game series against their Republic of Congo counterpart with a 167-106 on aggregate.
