ZADAR (Adriatic League) - Ronen Ginzburg knew Nymburk had to lose one day in the Adriatic League but an unbeaten start sure was nice while it lasted.

After wins over Red Star Belgrade, Radnicki and Igokea, Czech outfit Nymburk, in their debut season in the regional competition, fell to their first defeat over the weekend in a 73-60 loss at Zadar.

The victory was Zadar's first of the 2010-11 campaign.

"Congratulations on the first victory of Zadar," Ginzburg said.

    "They were better.

"They managed to slow down the game and pushed the ball under the basket…

"In addition, I would say that they showed more desire for success."

Zadar got a terrific performance from guard Marko Car, who had 23 points, four assists and six rebounds.

Other teams with 3-1 records like Nymburk are Buducnost, Hemofarm, Zagreb, Olimpija and Cedevita.

Krka's rising star Zoran Dragic - the younger brother of Phoenix Suns playmaker Goran Dragic - buried a game-winning jump shot in the final minute in a 65-63 victory over Zagreb.

Krunoslav Simon, whose three-ball had knotted at the game at 63-63, missed a potential game-winning shot from the arc at the end.

In other round four games, Buducnost hammered Radnicki 95-61, Igokea thrashed Red Star 77-59, Cibona scraped an 84-81 win over Union Olimpija, Partizan defeated Cedevita 80-72 and Hemofarm overcame Siroki, 92-82.
