    ZAGREB (Adriatic League) - Union Olimpija, Buducnost and Zagreb are in a fierce battle to clinch the fourth play-off spot in the Adriatic League.

    Vladimir Golubovic's departure to Caja Laboral could not have come at a worse time for Olimpija, who fell 73-67 at Siroki at the weekend.

    Hrvoje Puljko led the way with 17 points for Siroki, with Chester Mason contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds.

    Siroki set the tone in the first half, opening up a 29-19 advantage.

    Winning coach Ivan Velic said: "I am pleased to win and play in the first half the way we did, the way we had planned."

    The loss was costly for Slovenian giants Olimpija, who fell to 13-9.

    Buducnost and Zagreb are each 13-9.

    Montenegrin giants Buducnost prevailed 73-58 at Helios with Marko Simonovic's 16 points leading a balanced attack.

    Zagreb crashed to a 90-70 defeat at Partizan.

    Jamont Gordon erupted for 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting from the floor, including three of six from long range, as leaders Cibona won again.

    The Croatian club is two games clear of Partizan at the top of the standings following an 82-79 home triumph over Red Star Belgrade.

    Hemofarm are in third place after an 80-60 drubbing of Bosna in Vrsac.
