    Abidjan hosts FIBA Africa's second Board Meeting

    ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire)- The FIBA Africa Board met for the second time of the 2019-2023 Term of office on November 21-22, under the leadership of FIBA Africa President Anibal Manave in Abidjan.

    ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire)- The FIBA Africa Board met for the second time of the 2019-2023 Term of office on November 21-22, under the leadership of FIBA Africa President Anibal Manave in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

    Among the attendees were FIBA President Hamane Niang, and FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, Secretary General of FIBA.

    The meeting was the opportunity to:
    •Undertake a review of the 2019 activities and define the prospects for competition and development activities in 2020,
    • Present the key development pillars of the 2019-2023 cycle and the recommendations by FIBA Secretary General,
    • Present and make recommendations on the set up of two key projects including the FIBA Africa ACADEMY, and SOCIAL AIDS Programme,
    • Provide information and make decisions for the management of disputes within the National Federations of Guinea and Congo.

    Prior to the Board Meeting, FIBA teamed up with the NBA to discuss the final preparations of the inaugural Basketball Africa League which begins in March 2020.
