Mongolia to host three major international 3x3 events in 2023 and 2024

    ANTWERP (Belgium) - The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final 2023, the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2023 and the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2024 will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

    ANTWERP (Belgium) - The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final 2023, the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2023 and the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2024 will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

    After hosting successful 3x3 events such as the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in 2017 and the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup in 2019, winning medals at every Asia Cup since 2017 and competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (with the women), Mongolia will continue to be a 3x3 hotbed.

    The country renewed its commitment to 3x3 by hosting the final of the women’s professional circuit, the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series in 2023.

    On the same year, Mongolia will organize the final of the FIBA 3x3 Nations League, a national team competition for both men and women under the age of 23.

    Last but not least, the 4th edition of the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup will also take place in Ulaanbaatar in 2024.

    The announcement was made during a signing ceremony, including Myagmarjav Luvsandash, President of the Mongolia 3x3 Basketball Association and Member of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee and FIBA 3x3 Managing Director Alex Sanchez, on the fourth day of the Crelan FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2022 on June 24.
