ABUJA (FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2018) – Nigeria have released their list of four players for this year’s FIBA 3x3 World Cup, taking place in the Philippines from June 8-12.

The country opted to bring back the same 4 players who won the 1st edition of the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup last year, with Azuoma Dike, David Godwin, Lucky Subel Okoh and Abdul Yahaya.

Though the poster dunk specialist Yahaya led his team in scoring at the Africa Cup in Togo last year, it was Dike - a member of Nigeria’s silver winning squad at the FIBA AfroBasket 2017 in Tunisia - who took home the MVP award.

At 25 years on average, the D’ Tigers will be one of the youngest teams in the Philippines.

They are seeded in Pool D with reigning European Champs Latvia, Europe Cup 2017 bronze medalists Ukraine, Croatia and Jordan.

The FIBA 3x3 World Cup features the same number of men and women's teams (20 apiece), who play on the same court.

The first 4 days of competition will be dedicated to pool play (while the 5th and final day will see the knock-out rounds).

Games will start everyday at 11.30 am local time (GMT+8) and end between 7 and 8 pm approximately. The only exception will be the final day, which will stretch from 12.50 pm to 9.30 pm. All games will be livestreamed on www.youtube.com/FIBA3x3 and www.facebook.com/FIBA3x3.
