Spots for FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup at stake in Hungary and France qualifiers

SZOLNOK (Hungary) / VOIRON (France) - Some of 3x3's best young talent will be on display during the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup Qualifiers this weekend in Szolnok, Hungary, and Voiron, France on August 6-7, a prelude to the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup, which will take place in Athens on September 2-4.
3x3's future will be featured this weekend in both FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup Qualifiers with the seventh edition of this competition taking place where the 3x3 World Cup had its official debut 10 years ago, in Athens, Greece.
Reigning Champs (Slovenia men's and Spain women's), hosts Greece and Germany and Ukraine women already secured their tickets to Athens.
QUALIFIED TEAMS SO FAR
MEN: Greece (Hosts), Slovenia (2021 winners)
WOMEN: Greece (Hosts), Spain (2021 winners), Germany (ranking), Ukraine (ranking)
All other teams will have to go through qualification at the qualifiers in Szolnok, Hungary, and Voiron, France this weekend.
In both events, the men´s category will be played with a Round Robin with 4 pools followed by a direct elimination starting with quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals will be qualified directly to the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2022, whereas the losers of the quarter-finals will continue with a losers bracket, with the winners qualifying to the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2022.
The women´s category will be played with a Round Robin with 2 pools. The winners of each pool will be qualified directly to the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2022. The 2nd- and 3rd-placed teams in each pool will meet for two final games to determine the last two teams qualified to the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup 2022.
