    KAMPALA (Uganda) - Soraya Mohamed (Egypt) was named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup 2019 in Kampala, Uganda on November 8-10.

    KAMPALA (Uganda) - Soraya Mohamed (Egypt) was named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup 2019 in Kampala, Uganda on November 8-10.

    The 24-year-old finished as the top scorer of the event with 48 points, including 8 in the final against 2-time Africa Cup winners Mali. She buried an unbelievable step-back 2 with 15 seconds to go to ice the game. Soraya led a team without substitute (just 3 players) to their first-ever gold medal in the 3x3 women's category.

    She was joined on the team of the tournament by Mali's top scorer Aïssata Maiga and Ritah Imanishimwe, who led the Ugandan hosts to bronze.
