ALCOBENDAS - The USA beat Spain 21-13 to win the Final of the Girls Tournament at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships, presented by Nike.

Thanks to the scoring punch provided by the pair of Diamond DeShields and Kaela Davis, as well as the intensity and tenacity of Erica McCall, the Americans were in control for much of the game.

The Spaniards, spurred on by the partisan crowd that filled the stands around the Nike Court, fought hard and got back within 16-11 on Ariadna Pujol's lay-up.

However, there was little they could do as Davis had the hot hand late on, scoring inside and then hitting a clutch pair of shots from beyond the arc to put the game out of reach.
