MIES (Switzerland) - 3x3's superstars balled out on the half-court all year long and let's look at the most influential players who made 2025 a season to remember.
Strahinja Stojacic (Ub)
Of course, we just have to start with the GOAT. 'Doctor Strange' made the half-court his multiverse in surely his greatest ever season, where he completely dominated the World Tour.
The Serb legend walked off with more titles than appears humanly possible to once again finish the year as the best player in the game. His all-round magic is unparalleled and so too his determination as he stepped up to be the leader of an Ub (SRB) side missing veteran Dejan Majstorovic.
This moustached menace continues to be the standard bearer for 3x3, but we just know he'll be finding ways in the off-season to be even somehow better. Because that's what GOATs do.
Leon Fertig (Skyliners)
We've just waxed lyrical over the GOAT but here is an extremely talented dude that - if he keeps going on his trajectory - might one day be in the GOAT discussions.
This smooth mover has been hyped for years, a major part of the golden generation sweeping through German 3x3. What has aided his development this season was the mentorship by teammate Stefan Kojic, an all-time great Serb who crossed over to Skyliners (GER).
It all fuelled the rise of this 24-year-old, who made the leap into stardom when he led Skyliners (GER) to a historic triumph at the WT Abu Dhabi - the first WT title by a German team.
He's one of the very best players right now, but Leon Fertig will be aiming to be No.1 in 2026.
Worthy de Jong (Amsterdam Rabobank)
It wasn't really possible for Hype Worthy to top his astounding 2024, a year-long performance that was trippier than Eyes Wide Shut and where he became an Olympic legend after his unforgettable deeds at La Concorde.
2025 might not have been as epic but it was most certainly Hype Worthy. De Jong delivered plenty of his usual acrobatic brilliance and there was, quite naturally, success along the way with the high-flying Dutchman walking off with the MVP at the regular season finale in Bucharest.
Having contemplated retirement at the end of 2024, Worthy de Jong proved that he has plenty left in the tank and we hope he doesn't walk off into the sunset any time soon.
Guim Exposito (Spain)
There were lots of highlights in 2025 but perhaps the most memorable in men's 3x3 - the feat that will always be remembered - was Spain's first ever triumph at the World Cup. It was where this basketball powerhouse came of age and were put on the 3x3 map.
Their main hero was Guim Exposito, who inspired Spain on a run for the ages as they climbed to the top of the 3x3 mountain. Exposito hit bucket after bucket to prove that he is a scoring machine and he finished with one of the biggest individual prizes in the game - the World Cup MVP.
Now that he has climbed the top, you just now this sizzling Spaniard will enter next season with a major swagger.
Dennis Donkor (Riffa)
Halfway through the World Tour season, powerhouse Riffa (BRN) looked dead and buried. They just couldn't get their game going and looked to be fraying at the edges. But DD was determined not to let his team fade away as he single-handedly dragged them up the standings.
No doubt he inspired his teammates by issuing a rally cry - something like Al Pacino whipping his charges into a frenzy in Any Given Sunday. Donkor became Dennis the Menace to end the season on a tear, ensuring Riffa made the World Tour Final and that he also finished among the top three in MVP once again.
A famous quote might have been born in 2025: Freedom is no fear, just like Dennis Donkor.
Fabian Giessmann (Baskets Bonn Telekom)
He's 3x3's Wemby and for good reason. The towering 6ft.9in (2.07m) does things that should not be possible with the Wilson due to his insane skill-set.
Labelling him as a unicorn doesn't even do him justice, it's like an alien has landed on the half-court and producing things we've never seen before. He was No.1 in ppg on the WT - averaging a crazy 8 ppg (min 10 games) as he made Baskets Bonn Telekom (GER) a legit contender every time he stepped on the half-court.
Giessmann has 3x3 in the palms of his gigantic hands and it's a matter of when - not if - he'll be No.1 in the game.
Henry Caruso (Miami)
It's always a burden being Captain America - the top dog in hoops mighty USA. But Caruso can handle the pressure with ease as he's become the talismanic force behind Miami and also USA in the international arena.
He was 'Doctor Strange's' most consistent threat for the crown and he's inching closer to the crown. Another mini leap and it might be his.
Livin' the dream, Henry, livin' the dream.
