MIES (3x3) - indonesia2013.fiba.com is your source for all the latest news and information about the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships that will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia (26-29 September 2013).

The FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships will be staged outside of Europe for the very first time and Indonesia is thrilled to host the top 24 women's and 32 men's 3x3 U18 national teams.

The tournament is the last 3x3 international youth competition on a global scale prior the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing next year and will also feature four individual competitions that open up additional opportunities for more countries to collect medals and honours.

During the Championships, the website will provide full comprehensive coverage both on and off the court, with news, game reports, pool round-ups, exclusive interviews, photos and videos.

Fans, members of the media as well as participating players and coaches can find all the information they need in the lead-up to this important fixture on the international basketball's calendar.

Before the tournament gets underway, the website will provide early previews of rosters, interviews with coaches as well as inside information about some of the star players to watch out for.

Despite being the reigning women's champs, Team USA will not be the #1 seed in Jakarta as the seeding is entirely based on the 3x3 U18 national federations ranking. This ranking takes into account the number of points collected by players in the last 12 months. National federations are ranked according to the cumulated points tallied by their national players within the world Top 1,000 players of a given category (men, women).

Therefore the pools seeding already holds interesting encounters including a re-match of last year’s women's tournament final between the USA and Spain.
