    ALCOBENDAS - Australia, Italy, reigning champions Spain and the USA on Saturday won their groups in the Girls Tournament at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships to reach the Last Eight.

    The Australians, Italians and Spaniards kept their perfect records going (5-0). The Americans saw their unbeaten run come to an end when they lost their last game to China 13-12 but that didn't affect their status as Group B winners.

    All four will find out who their next opponents are on Sunday afternoon when the teams that finished second and third in the groups battle it out in the Eighth-Finals with places in the Quarter-Finals at stake.

    Lithuania v Romania
    China v England
    France v Netherlands
    Estonia v Czech Republic

    Romania won five of their six games in the group stages and are confident going into their game against Lithuania on Sunday.

    "Today was good for our team. We finished second in our group and have a game against Lithuania tomorrow," said Bianca Blanaru.

    "We look forward to it and we look forward to it.

    "We have a very good team with size and outside shooting."

    Spain and Italy, who contested the Girls Final at the inaugural event in Rimini, Italy last year, are on track to meet in the Semi-Finals.
