    TRIPOLI (Afrobasket 2009) - After shaking off its opening game lose to Cape Verde by 71-52 points, Tunisia rose up to the challenge of the FIBA Africa Championship for Men to win its last two games against Morocco and Rwanda by 98-79 and 74-57 points to book a place in the next round.

    The Tunisian side gave no chance to the Rwandan from the blast of the referee’s whistle winning the first three quarter 19-15, 21-09 and 26-12 to hold on to a comfortable lead going into the last quarter which the Rwandans won by 21-08.

    The result now propelled Tunisia to the top of group-D with Morocco coming behind them on same points.

    Amine Rzig led the floor with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists while his fellow teammates, Marouan Kechid and Atef Maoua contributing 13 and 10 points respectively.
