Rytas back in front of their fans again

Not four, but five games on Wednesday: BCL Regular Season's action keeps on going.

MIES (Switzerland) - What's better than four games of Regular Season in the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, on a Wednesday evening?

It's a pretty obvious answer: five games of BCL Regular Season taking place on a Wednesday evening.

Teams from Group A, C, and H will give their all on the court: take note of the 30 must-know facts about this five-game party.

Rytas Vilnius vs. MLP Academics Heidelberg - Group A, 18:30 CET

Jordan Walker wants to redeem himself against Heidelberg
    • Rytas Vilnius have won 15 of their last 18 games at home in the BCL, including the two played this season; the Lithuanians are averaging 93.8 points per game at home since the start of the year 2024, more than any other team in that period.

    • MLP Academics Heidelberg will play their fourth BCL game, with the team leading at the end of the third quarter winning each of the previous three; the German side is yet to reach halftime in a leading position.

    • Heidelberg are the only team averaging 20+ points scored from fast break situations per game in the BCL 2025-26 (21.0); they scored 26 points following a fast break in the reverse fixture against Rytas, a joint-high in a BCL game this season alongside… Rytas, which did the same against Legia Warszawa on Gameday 1.

    • Rytas’ Jordan Walker has scored 12 or more points in nine of his 10 appearances in the BCL, with the only exception being the reverse fixture against Heidelberg (9pts); he had 5+ assists in his last two BCL games, his first such sequence in the league.

    • Michael Weathers (Heidelberg) is the only player to have made more than five blocks and more than five steals at the end of his first three BCL games, tallying six blocks and seven steals in the competition so far; however, his only BCL game scoring in single digits was against Rytas in the reverse fixture (7pts).

    • Both teams are coming off defeats against their respective country's reigning champions: Heidelberg lost 93-81 on the road in Munich, while Rytas suffered a road 79-75 setback in Kaunas against Zalgiris despite Jerrick Harding's 20 points.

Bursaspor Basketbol vs. Joventut Badalona - Group C, 18:30 CET

Ricky Rubio's displaying magic in the BCL, and we are all witnesses
    • Bursaspor Basketbol have lost their three BCL games this season, as many defeats as they tallied in their entire previous campaign (W3 L3 in 2023-24); they have won their three league games in which they have scored 75 or more points and have lost all four when scoring below that mark.

    • Joventut Badalona have won their first three BCL games by margins higher than 15 points. However, no team have yet won their first four games in the competition by those differentials; they have allowed fewer than 75 points in each of their three games thus far.

    • Joventut are making more assists (25.7) and fewer turnovers (8.3) per game than any other team in the BCL this season; thus, they are the only team to have an assists per turnover ratio of at least 2.5 (3.08).

    • Brandon Childress has scored in double figures in two of his three games with Bursaspor in the BCL; he was fouled out in the reverse fixture against Joventut, after tallying four personal fouls in each of his two previous games.

    • Ricky Rubio is averaging 10.7 points and 4.0 assists per game in the BCL, despite playing fewer than 17 minutes in each of his three league appearances with Joventut; he is making 50 percent of his attempted FGs (10-of-20), 57.1 percent of his 3-pointers (4-of-7), and is yet to miss from the foul line (8-of-8).

    • Both played at home during the weekend but experienced different results: Bursaspor lost 77-75 to Bahcesehir, while Joventut enjoyed an 82-68 win over Lleida, pushed by Cameron Hunt's 24 points.

SL Benfica vs. Le Mans Sarthe Basket - Group H, 18:30 CET

TaShawn Thomas is a rebounding machine for Le Mans
    • SL Benfica have won just two of their last 18 games in the BCL, but both those victories happened at home (79-68 vs. NINERS Chemnitz in December 2024 & 94-72 vs. PAOK in November 2023); the Portuguese side have averaged 79.2 points per game in November, their highest scoring month in the BCL.

    • Le Mans Sarthe Basket won the reverse fixture against Benfica (89-69) and will try to win their first BCL road game this season (L2); they have allowed fewer than 75 points in each of their three games this season, but only once have they had a longer such streak (5 games in December 2016 – January 2017).

    • Benfica have seen 26.0 percent of their points being scored from the free-throw line in the BCL this season, the highest rate of all teams, while only NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (8.3) are making fewer free throws per game than Le Mans (10.0).

    • Geno Crandall has scored more than 16 points in each of his last two games with Benfica in the BCL – he has made more than five assists in each of his three games with the Portuguese side, after dishing out a total of seven dimes in his three games with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in 2023-24.

    • TaShawn Thomas (Le Mans) has a total of 355 rebounds in the BCL, the 9th most of any player in league history – he needs five more to surpass Wilfried Yeguete and Petr Benda, both with 359 boards, and reach the 7th spot amongst the all-time rebounders.

    • Benfica stayed on top of the standings in Portugal with the 87-76 road win over Vitoria, while Le Mans beat Cholet 84-80 away from home in the derby between BCL sides.

Promitheas Patras Vikos Cola vs. Legia Warszawa - Group A, 19:00 CET

Jayvon Graves being the main offensive source for his team, did you expect anything different?
    • Promitheas Patras Vikos Cola have won their most recent game at home in the BCL (89-83 vs. Heidelberg) after winning just one of their previous nine; they have already won two games in the current Regular Season, as many as in the 2024-25 group stage (W2 L4).

    • Legia Warszawa have won their most recent BCL fixture (74-67 at Heidelberg) and will try to win back-to-back BCL games for the first time ever; their two victories in league history have both happened on the road.

    • Only Unicaja (22.3) are averaging more points scored from turnovers per game than Promitheas (22.0) in the BCL this season; Legia, on the other hand, have scored fewer such points per game than any other team (9.3).

    • Jayvon Graves (Legia) is averaging 15.0 points per game when playing on the road in the BCL in 2025, while his average at home is almost half of that as he is scoring just 8.0 per game; Graves had 19 or more points in each of his two road games this season.

    • Promitheas and Legia were both successful in domestic action, respectively against Karditsa (91-62, inspired by Rob Gray's 28 points) and Anwil Wroclawek (80-75).

Dreamland Gran Canaria vs. KK Spartak Office Shoes - Group H, 21:00 CET

Mike Tobey has been a difference maker for Gran Canaria

    • Spartak Office Shoes lost the reverse fixture against Gran Canaria (83-93) after winning their first two games this season; their two BCL victories have both happened when allowing fewer than 75 points.

    • Spartak have seen their opponents making only 9.3 turnovers per game in the BCL this season, fewer than against any other team; on the other hand, they have conceded the most points from turnovers per game among all teams this season (23.7).

    • Mike Tobey and Braian Angola each scored 20 points in Gran Canaria's 102-85 win over Andorra; in Serbia, KK Spartak shocked Crvena Zvezda by beating the red-and-white powerhouse 85-80 in the ABA League with Danilo Nikolic's 21 points and 7 rebounds.
