    Senegal picked the seventh quarter final ticket with a 92-75 points victory over host Madagascar on Wednesday at the Palais des Sports of the 26th FIBA Africa Championship for Men.
     
    The bigger and stronger Senegalese took the first three quarters by 26-13, 21-19 and 25-20 points to take a 20 points advanteg of 72-52 going into the last quarter as the Madagascan mounted pressure on the Senegalese side in the fourth quarter culminating in them losing the quarter by 20-23 points for a final score-line of 92-75 points.
     
    Senegal Mouhammad Faye led his team in scoring with 19 points and 5 rebounds big centre Papa Ndiaga Dia had a double double effort of 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks, Boubacar Goly and Mamadou Ndoye added  12 points, 8 rebounds and 11 points respectively.
     
    Senegal will keep a date with Cote d’Ivoire in the second quarter-final on Thursday.
