Galatasaray and Trieste ready to fly again

    The end of the Group Phase is fast approaching, keep that in mind as every single point matters when these four games tip off on Tuesday.

    Galatasaray MCT Technic vs. Pallacanestro Trieste - Group E, 18:00 CET

    Jahmi'us Ramsey hopes to lead Trieste to the upset victory over Galatasaray
    • Galatasaray MCT Technic have won their last five games in the BCL Regular Season, but have never enjoyed a longer such run in the competition; this includes the reverse fixture against Pallacanestro Trieste, a single-point win on Gameday 2 (91-90).

    • Trieste have won their last BCL game, 115-90 against Igokea m:tel, after losing their first three in the competition – all their games have been won by the team leading at halftime. Three of their four BCL games ended with margins of 15+ points.

    • Galatasaray are making only 8.1 turnovers per 100 possessions in the BCL this season, fewer than any other team, but Trieste are one of the other three teams to average fewer than 10 (8.8).

    • James Palmer Jr. has combined for 10+ points, 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists in each of his last three BCL games played with Galatasaray, a sequence that started against Trieste (10pts, 6reb, 7ast). However, no player has done it in more consecutive games in league history.

    • Jahmi'us Ramsey has scored 12+ points in each of his four appearances with Trieste in the BCL: he had 26 against Igokea in his most recent game, but only 12 against Galatasaray, his lowest scoring performance this season.

    • Galatasaray won their second straight game in Türkiye by beating Buyukcekmece 84-81 away from home, with Will Cummings and James Palmer Jr. combining for 39 points; Trieste's inconsistent season continues in the LBA, where Israel Gonzalez's team lost 113-94 against Vanoli Cremona on the road.

    MLP Academics Heidelberg vs. Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola - Group A, 18:30 CET

    • MLP Academics Heidelberg have only won one of their four BCL games, but that win was at home (92-83 vs. Rytas); they were trailing at halftime in each of their games and even lost the first quarter each time.

    • Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola have won four of their last six road games in the BCL Regular Season but lost the most recent one, 79-98 against Rytas. 11 of their 15 road games in the Regular Season ended with a single-digit margin.

    • Heidelberg (10.0) and Promitheas (10.8) are two of the four teams averaging 10+ steals per game in the BCL this season. Heidelberg are also averaging more points from fast breaks per game than any other team this season (22.5).

    • Michael Weathers scored a total of 40 points in his last two BCL games after scoring half of that in his first two league appearances with Heidelberg; he had 13 points and six assists in the reverse fixture against Promitheas.

    • Rob Gray (Promitheas) has scored more than 16 points in nine of his last 10 games in the BCL, including in all three this season: he had 20 points against Heidelberg in the reverse fixture and also four steals, a joint-high for him in his 13 league appearances.

    • Heidelberg's run in the BBL-Pokal ended in the Quarter-Finals, as they lost 72-66 on the road against Bamberg despite another good performance by Michael Weathers (20 points and 7 rebounds); Promitheas also lost during the weekend, defeated 64-88 at home by Olympiacos.

    Legia Warszawa vs. Rytas Vilnius - Group A, 18:45 CET

    • Legia Warszawa have won their last two games in the BCL after recording only one win in their first eight games in the competition. However, they have lost all four of their home games despite trailing at halftime in only one of those.

    • Rytas have lost their last four road games in the BCL but have never lost more on the bounce; however, their last road win was in Poland, 98-88 against Slask Wroclaw in December 2024.

    • Rytas are grabbing 43.3 percent of the rebounds available under their offensive basket, the highest percentage of all teams in the BCL this season; however, Legia are grabbing more defensive rebounds per game among all teams (29.5).

    • Legia's Andrzej Pluta has scored 14+ points in three of his four appearances in the BCL, including a 20-point performance against Rytas in the reverse fixture, his highest scoring game in the competition. Pluta has attempted 10+ three-pointers in three of his four games this season.

    • Jerrick Harding has scored 20+ points in six of his last eight BCL games, including in his two appearances this season. Harding has scored 562 points in his 33 games played in the competition, the third most of any player after that many games in league history (Kevin Punter, 608 & Marcus Foster, 574).

    • The American guard led Rytas in scoring with 21 points in the latest 105-100 win against Siauliai on the road; on the other side, in Poland, Legia suffered the 98-84 setback away from home against Slask Wroclaw.

    Le Mans Sarthe Basket vs. Dreamland Gran Canaria - Group H, 20:00 CET

    Can Nicolas Brussino extend his scoring stretch to even more games?
    • Le Mans Sarthe Basket have won six of their last seven home games in the BCL Regular Season, scoring 85+ points in each of those wins. Three of their four BCL games this season have ended with margins of five or fewer points.

    • Dreamland Gran Canaria have won their first four BCL game. Before this season, only three teams managed to win their first five games in the competition: Besiktas and Neptunas Klaipeda in 2016-17 and Virtus Bologna in 2018-19.

    • Le Mans (5.5) and Gran Canaria (6.0) are allowing fewer points from fast break situations per game than any other team in the BCL this season; Le Mans are also allowing the fewest points from turnovers per game this season (8.0).

    • Le Mans' Johnny Berhanemeskel has scored more than 10 points in each of his three games played in the BCL, despite coming off the bench in all of those; he has made 55.6 percent of his attempted threes and is yet to miss a free-throw in the competition (8-of-8).

    • Nicolas Brussino (Gran Canaria) has scored 19 and 22 points in his two most recent BCL games, but has never scored 15+ points in more consecutive league appearances. He has averaged 11.4 points in his seven BCL games against French opposition, being on the winning side in six of those.

    • Le Mans had a rollercoaster clash in the LNB but lost at home, 93-84 to Monaco; facing Joventut Badalona in the clash between BCL participants in the ACB, Gran Canaria lost 92-78 at home.
