MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League announced on Tuesday that, in view of the current security situation in Israel, it has decided to postpone the two games of the opening week of the Regular Season that involve the two participating clubs from Israel.

The decision was taken in consultation with the concerned clubs, FIBA Europe and the Israeli Basketball Federation.

Consequently, the game between Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem and SL Benfica that was initially scheduled for Tuesday October 17 and the game between Telekom Baskets Bonn and Hapoel Holon, initially scheduled for Wednesday October 18, will be rescheduled for a later date when circumstances allow.

The Basketball Champions League will continue to closely monitor the situation as it evolves, involve stakeholders in all decisions related to the matter and prioritize the safety of players, coaches, officials and fans.
