Only two of the eight teams have reached the Road to BAL Elite 16 before.

    ABIDJAN (Côte d'Ivoire) - The draw for the 2025 Road to BAL West Division Elite 16 took place on Saturday, November 2, at FIBA Africa headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

    The draw followed the conclusion of the Group Phase played in Tripoli (Libya), Douala (Cameroon), Harare (Zimbabwe) and Kibaha (Tanzania).

    The eight-team qualifier will take place at Palais des Sports Treichville in Abidjan from Tuesday, November 5 to Sunday, November 10.

    The competition consists of a round-robin system where teams will play a combined 16 games, which will be live streamed on FIBA Youtube channel.

    Wild cards Moanda Basket and Mighty Barrrolle joined six other teams who finished in the top two places of Groups A, B and C of the West Division.

    Teams were divided into two of four teams each, and those that finish in the top two places of each group will advance to the Semi-Finals where the winners will qualify for the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL).

    Groups A and B of the West Division Elite 16 were paired as follows:

    Mighty Barrolle (Liberia)

    The full schedule of the tournament will be announced on Sunday, November 3.
