VEF Riga vs. NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz - Group F, 18:00 CET
VEF Riga are on a nine-game losing streak, their second-longest in the BCL; however, Riga's last eight victories have all taken place at home and in games where they allowed fewer than 80 points.
NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz lost their most recent game in the BCL but have been alternating between wins and losses (W2 L2) in the league this season; the Hungarians are still looking for their first road victory in the competition (L9).
Riga have scored just 4.0 points per game from fast breaks in the BCL this season: they are the least dependent team on those kinds of plays, as only 6 percent of their total points have been scored via those plays.
Riga's Arnaldo Toro has grabbed a total of 108 rebounds at the end of his first nine games played in the BCL and needs to tally 4+ boards against Olajbanyasz to become the player with the most rebounds at the end of his first 10 appearances in the competition (Keith Clanton, 111).
Adam Somogyi has dished out 6+ assists in each of his four BCL games played with Olajbanyasz after reaching that tally only once in his 12 appearances with Falco Szombathely in the competition. He has had 10+ assists in each of his last two BCL games, but only three players have had longer stints (David Holston and Joe Ragland, 4 games; Kamil Laczynski, 3 games).
It was a solid weekend for both teams: Riga beat Valmiera 85-74 in the Latvian-Estonian League, with 29 points from Kristaps Kilps, and Olajbanyasz had a 105-72 win over Zalakeramia-ZTE in the Hungarian league.
AEK BC vs. Patrioti Levice - Group F, 18:30 CET
AEK BC have won 11 of their last 12 BCL games at home, with their only defeat in the process happening in last season's Semi-Finals (65-71 vs. Unicaja); AEK have scored more than 90 points in each of their last two games at home in the BCL and will try to do it in three straight games for the third time in league history.
Patrioti Levice have won their most recent BCL game (73-71 vs. Olajbanyasz) but have been alternating between wins and losses in the competition (W2 L2).
AEK have allowed their opponents to score only 39.9 percent of their attempted field goals, the best defensive FG percentage amongst all teams in the BCL this season; they are also boasting the best defensive rating of any team thus far, allowing 90.9 points per 100 possessions in the league.
Levice's starting lineup has scored 89.9 percent of the team's points, the highest percentage of any team in the BCL this season; they have scored 38.5 percent of their points from behind the three-point line, while only two other teams have had a higher dependence from behind the arc.
Levice's Rickey McGill has scored 20+ points in each of his last three BCL games, including in the reverse fixture against AEK (20pts); McGill has made multiple steals in each of his four games in the competition, but only four players before him have had 2+ steals in each of their first five BCL appearances.
Chris Silva's monster performance of 31 points and 9 rebounds wasn't enough for AEK in the 100-93 road loss to Olympiacos; after 11 straight wins, Levice had their first loss in Slovakia, suffering the home 88-92 setback against BC Komarno despite Andre Wesson Jr. and Will Carius both putting up 21 points.
La Laguna Tenerife vs. Trapani Shark - Group D, 21:00 CET
La Laguna Tenerife have won their last 31 BCL games at home, their latest such defeat coming in December 2021 (83-99 vs. MHP RIESEN); they are averaging 90.7 points per game in their last nine league fixtures at home.
Trapani Shark have won their last two BCL games after losing their previous two; the Italians are yet to lead at the end of the first quarter; they will try to become the first Italian side since December 2022 to win a BCL away game in Spain (Dinamo Sassari 92-82 at Unicaja).
Trapani have grabbed 82.6 percent of the rebounds disputed on their defensive side, the highest defensive rebounding ratio amongst all teams in the BCL this season; therefore, they have allowed the fewest points per game from second chance situations in the league thus far (6.8ppg).
Giorgi Shermadini will play his 100th game in the BCL, becoming the sixth player to reach that mark in league history: he has scored the most points in the BCL (1315) while also grabbing the second most rebounds among all players in league history (525; Tim Abromaitis, 547).
Timmy Allen (Trapani) has scored in double-figures in 12 of his 13 games played in the BCL, with the only exception being in his most recent road game (8pts at Bnei Herzliya); Allen has made a three-pointer in each of his 13 appearances in the competition.
Tenerife lost 70-71 at home, only at the buzzer, against a Spanish powerhouse like Real Madrid without Marcelinho Huertas on board; Trapani, instead, got the 89-82 road win in Italy against Treviso with Jordan Ford scoring 19 points.
