    The 29th edition of the competition will feature clubs from seven countries.

    MIAMI (United States) – The Liga Sudamericana de Baloncesto 2026 now has its 16 participants. FIBA's Regional Office in the Americas, together with the Confederación Sudamericana de Básquetbol (CONSUBASQUET), has confirmed the clubs that will compete in the 29th edition of the competition, which will tip off on October 2. The participating teams are: Boca Juniors (Argentina) Regatas Corrientes (Argentina) Oberá (Argentina) Independiente (Argentina) Brasilia (Brazil) Corinthians (Brazil) Flamengo (Brazil) Mogi Basquete (Brazil) CDC Los Leones (Chile) Paisas Basketball Club (Colombia) CD Jorge Guzmán (Ecuador) Importadora Alvarado (Ecuador) Olimpia Kings (Paraguay) San José (Paraguay) Nacional (Uruguay) Defensor Sporting (Uruguay) The groups and dates of the competition will be as follows:

    Group A

    Dates: 2-4 October Location: Oliva, Argentina Stadium: Polideportivo Independiente DSC Host: Independiente de Oliva (ARG) Teams: Independiente de Oliva (ARG), Mogi Basquete (BRA), Olimpia Kings (PAR), Importadora Alvarado (ECU)

    Group B

    Dates: 9-11 October Location: Loja, Ecuador Stadium: Polideportivo Ciudad de Loja Host: CD Jorge Guzmán (ECU) Teams: CD Jorge Guzmán (ECU), Corinthians (BRA), Nacional (URU), Regatas Corrientes (ARG)

    Group C

    Dates: 16-18 October Location: Brasilia, Brazil Stadium: Ginásio Nilson Nelson Host: Brasilia (BRA) Teams: Brasilia (BRA), San Jose (PAR), Boca Juniors (ARG), CDC Los Leones (CHI)

    Group D

    Dates: 23-25 October Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Stadium: Maracanazinho Host: Flamengo (BRA) Teams: Flamengo (BRA), Oberá (ARG), Paisas Basketball Club (COL), Defensor Sporting (URU) The top two teams from Groups A and B will qualify for the Quarterfinals, to be held from October 30 to November 1 while the top two teams from Groups C and D will compete in the second Quarterfinals from November 13 to 15. The four remaining teams will then advance to the Final Four which will be played December 5-6.

    The new champion will claim the trophy from Ferro (Argentina). FIBA
