The games will be played across nine days, with Group Phase action taking place between Wednesday, August 27, and Thursday, September 4.
It will make for an action-packed bonanza of basketball, and we have picked 12 specific games that will make for unmissable viewing.
Latvia vs Türkiye
Time: Wednesday, August 27 - 17:00 CET Venue: Riga, Arena Riga (LAT)
A nation expects as Latvia opens its FIBA EuroBasket campaign against Türkiye in what is sure to be a rocking Arena Riga crowd. Both teams boast star players, with Kristaps Porzingis leading the charge for the hosts, while Cedi Osman, Alperen Sengun, and Shane Larkin will feature for Türkiye.
Latvia impressed at the FIBA Basketball World Cup two years ago and finished the EuroBasket Qualifiers with a flawless 6-0 record, aiming to demonstrate to the basketball world that the momentum hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. For Türkiye, they are keen to get off to the best possible start, having not reached the Quarter-Finals since 2009. They have a point to prove.
Slovenia vs Poland
Time: Thursday, August 28 - 20:30 CET Venue: Katowice, Spodek Arena (POL)
Just saying the name Luka Doncic would be enough for fans across the world to tune in. But if you take the Slovenian superstar out of the equation, Slovenia still has a squad capable of going far in this tournament. Plus, there is revenge at stake, too, as Poland unceremoniously dumped them out of EuroBasket back in 2022.
Three years on, and Poland has a home crowd behind them in Katowice. Could history repeat itself in the hosts' opener, or can Slovenia vanquish that memory of Berlin once and for all?
Greece vs Italy
Time: Thursday, August 28 - 20:30 CET Venue: Limassol, Spyros Kyprianou Arena (CYP)
Greece and Italy do battle once again in the Group Phase at EuroBasket. The Greeks squeaked past the Azzuri 85-81 in Milan three years ago in a thrilling contest. Two established nations with plenty of firepower at their disposal. Greece, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Italy spearheded by Simone Fontecchio.
However, both sides will have a point to prove as Greece haven't won a Quarter-Final since 2009 and Italy, who reached the Quarter-Finals in 2022 for the fourth straight EuroBasket, haven't claimed a victory at that stage.
Lithuania vs Germany
Time: Saturday, August 30 - 12:30 CET Venue: Tampere, Tampere Deck Arena (FIN)
Two proud basketball nations will lock horns in what will be a competitive Group B in Finland. Lithuania might be light on individual star power, but it will be heavy on pedigree, boasting players who can steer the team to the Final Rounds in Riga, led by Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas.
In contrast, reigning world champs Germany will head to Tampere, eager to improve on their bronze medal finish in 2022 and move up two steps on the podium to gold. With Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroeder on their roster, who's to say they can't?
Latvia vs Serbia
Time: Saturday, August 30 - 17:00 CET Venue: Riga, Arena Riga (LAT)
With the Group Phase entering the halfway point, Latvia and Serbia do battle in what promises to be an enticing battle between these two basketball heavyweights. Serbia will not be traveling light to EuroBasket, as they will have superstar Nikola Jokic and Bogdan Bogdanovic among the big hitters, and they are hungry for an elusive gold.
Latvia will have the tougher of the opening couple of games with Türkiye and Estonia first up, so it's a strong possibility that the winners of this game could be in pole position to top the group.
France vs Slovenia
Time: Saturday, August 30 - 17:00 CET Venue: Katowice, Spodek Arena (POL)
Two teams with deep rosters and big aspirations collide in Katowice. It's been more than a decade since France hoisted their only EuroBasket crown, which incidentally came in Slovenia, and they certainly have a talented roster to repeat the success they experienced in 2013.
Although their big names might not be participating, they have a plethora of up-and-coming players ready to make a name for themselves. Slovenia will rely on Luka Doncic to steer the offense just like he did at their last EuroBasket encounter in 2022 when he exploded for 47 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in an 88-82 victory.
Israel vs France
Time: Sunday, August 31 - 17:00 CET Venue: Katowice, Spodek Arena (POL)
And 24 hours later, France will return to the floor to take on an Israel side that advanced through the Qualifiers with a 5-1 record, featuring an exciting blend of new talent that has emerged from the junior ranks. Eyes will be on Deni Avdija, who made a mark on his international debut in 2022 and will be aiming to make more of a splash in Katowice.
For France, they will either look to carry on the momentum or bounce back from their previous game against Slovenia, in what promises to be a pivotal clash.
Italy vs Spain
Time: Tuesday, September 2 - 20:30 CET Venue: Limassol, Spyros Kyprianou Arena (CYP)
As Group C winds down, Italy and Spain battle it out in their penultimate game in Limassol. This could be seen as a must-win for Spain as they finish their round of games against Greece, whereas Italy will be the favorites in their final contest against the hosts, Cyprus.
This game could go a long way on the road to Riga.
Finland vs Germany
Time: Wednesday, September 3 - 19:30 CET Venue: Tampere, Tampere Deck Arena (FIN)
Finland's most challenging test will no doubt come against world champions Germany, but they will be up to the task with a boisterous home crowd behind them.
Among Finland's games in Tampere, this will be the one that many of the home fans will be eager to watch, especially for Lauri Markkanen, who will match up against his NBA counterparts, including Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder.
Türkiye vs Serbia
Time: Wednesday, September 3 - 20:15 CET Venue: Riga, Arena Riga (LAT)
There is a rich history between these two rivals, with another chapter set to be written in the Latvian capital. By this time, both teams would have learned their fate, with final positions a key factor.
With both teams aware of their key players, the focus could shift to the role players and their potential role in leading their team to a crucial win in terms of standings, as well as who could secure a favourable draw in the Final Rounds. Cedi Osman and Shane Larkin will look to steer the Turks to victory, while Serbia's Vasilije Micic and Filip Petrusev, who led Serbia in scoring in the Qualifiers, will be amongst those to take charge.
Spain vs Greece
Time: Thursday, September 4 - 20:30 CET Venue: Limassol, Spyros Kyprianou Arena (CYP)
A game that could potentially be for the top spot in Group C, the reigning EuroBasket champions, Spain, square off against a Greece team looking to repeat the same feat they achieved at the last edition, when they posted a perfect record in Milan.
Juancho Hernangomez and Giannis Antetokounmpo will no doubt be an exciting matchup to watch, and the 2019 U18 EuroBasket MVP, Santi Aldama, will be keen to make a name for himself in this game and in this tournament.
Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Georgia
Time: Thursday, September 4 - 14:00 CET Venue: Limassol, Spyros Kyprianou Arena (CYP)
With the top four progressing, this could end up being a pivotal game for both Bosnia & Herzegovina and Georgia if they are to advance to the Final Rounds in Riga, Latvia.
With firm predictions mainly for Greece, Italy, and Spain to advance, the question is which of the remaining four teams will progress from Group C. While it's not set in stone, which of the four teams will qualify in Limassol, debutants Cyprus will face an uphill battle, so it could come down to the final day to see who heads to Latvia.
