ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - Recently appointed Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring coach Frederic Dusart now has another role to take care of after being tasked with masterminding a FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 ticket for Türkiye.
He takes over with immediate effect from Umana Reyer Venezia playcaller Andrea Mazzon, who spent less than 12 months in the role.
Fresh from his role on the international stage at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 as an assistant coach with Belgium, Dusart will take the reins for the Second Round of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers.
Türkiye have been drawn against Israel, Montenegro and Poland in Group I, with games to be played in the upcoming November window and then in the last window during February 2027.
Dusart previously won the EuroCup Women and domestic titles in France with Villeneuve d'Ascq LM, while also enjoying trophy-winning success with Castors Braine in Belgium. His coaching experience also includes a spell in China's WCBA.
