    PIRAEUS (Greece) - There's more than just FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 glory on the line this summer, with the tournament also serving as a qualifying event for FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 and FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments.

    There are eight spots for European national teams at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments, to be played in March 2026.

    Three of these teams are already known: Germany are qualified as hosts, while Czechia and Hungary won their respective Pre-Qualifying Tournaments.

    Winners of FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Pre-Qualifying Tournament - Mexico

    Winners of FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Pre-Qualifying Tournament - Rwanda

    The remaining spots will be filled by the five best-placed teams at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025.

    • If Czechia or Germany finish in the qualifying positions, the next-best team will qualify instead.

    World Cup hosts Germany and the winners of FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 will participate in the Qualifying Tournaments, as part of Europe's eight-team quota, but will be automatically qualified for FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026.

    If hosts Germany win the tournament, the runners-up will receive the direct berth to the World Cup.
