BERLIN (Germany) - The pairings and schedule for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Quarter-Finals are now confirmed following the successful conclusion of the Qualification for Quarter-Finals game in Berlin, Germany.

USA v Hungary - 11:30 Local Time (9:30 GMT)
Hungary have already secured their best-ever finish at the Women’s World Cup by reaching the Quarter-Finals. Meanwhile USA have not lost a game since the 2006 Semi-Finals, so is this simply mission impossible for Hungary?
On paper, it certainly looks that way, although Italy came within a whisker of sending USA to overtime just days ago, proving the seemingly unbeatable can still be pushed to the limit.
Now the matchup hinges on Dorka Juhasz and Virag Takacs-Kiss battling USA’s deep, versatile frontcourt. Can Hungary’s guards overachieve and their Twin Towers dominate? An upset may be unlikely - but after the scare caused by Italy, nobody should be ruling it out.
The winner of this game will face the winner of Spain - Australia in the Quarter-Finals.
China v France - 14:30 Local Time (12:30 GMT)
It's a repeat of the same Quarter-Final that was played at the last edition in Sydney four years ago. China won that clash convincingly and went on to finish as runners-up. Many of the personnel have changed since then, but Xu Han was impactful back in 2022 and on current form with four double-doubles in a row, could be once again.
Meanwhile France are searching for a top-four finish for the first time in 73 years. It's been a long wait, but still unbeaten they have the momentum. As well as their much praised defense, they are lighting it up on offense too, having broken the all-time record for triples in a World Cup game when they stepped out against Nigeria.
The winner of this game will face the winner of Belgium v Germany in the Semi-Finals.
Belgium v Germany - 17:45 Local Time (15:45 GMT)
Germany are riding a three-game winning streak and may have the best momentum in the tournament, fuelled by the energy of a huge home crowd. All of that will be needed against an unbeaten Belgium side with serious pedigree. Germany have never played a World Cup Quarter-Final, while the Belgian Cats may be the most experienced team in the tournament.
Emma Meesseman looms as the game-changer, with Nyara Sabally, Leonie Fiebich and Germany’s bigs facing the huge task of containing Belgium’s star. Germany’s bench is a major weapon, but their 25.2% three-point shooting is a glaring weakness against Belgium’s 38.1% from downtown. A rematch of last year’s EuroBasket Quarter-Final — can Germany flip the script, or will the Belgian Cats roar into the Semi-Finals?
The winner of this game will face the winner of France v China in the Semi-Finals.
Australia v Spain - 20:45 Local Time (18:45 GMT)
The Opals are searching for an impressive fourth straight Semi-Finals appearance and their eighth in the last nine editions. They have only suffered one loss in Berlin and despite losing some influential players to injury, have stood up behind headline efforts from Steph Talbot and Isobel Borlase.
Meanwhile after missing out on the last edition altogether in Sydney, Spain are continuing in their bid to make a return to the Semi-Finals, after stepping out at that stage in 2010, 2014 and 2018. They look like relying on rising star duo Iyana Martin and Awa Fam who have both had tremendous tournament debuts so far.
The winner of this game will face the winner of USA v Hungary in the Semi-Finals.
