BERLIN (Germany) - The pairings and schedule for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Final Phase are now confirmed following the successful conclusion of the Group Phase in Berlin, Germany.

The FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualification for Quarter-Finals will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8 and 9.
September 8
Hungary v Japan - 17:45 Local Time (15:45 GMT)
Hungary will try to make the top eight of the competition for the first time in 40 years. They will lean on their twin towers of Dorka Juhasz and Virag Takacs-Kiss for inspiration.
Japan have waited even longer - since 1979. They will hope they can find their potentially devastating shooting touch from long-range to fuel a victory.
The winner of this game will face USA in the Quarter-Finals.
Germany v Korea - 20:45 Local Time (18:45 GMT)
Germany are hoping they have the momentum for a third win in a row and one that would propel them to a maiden Quarter-Finals ticket.
Another huge crowd at Berlin Arena will be supporting the host nation, with Korea looking to spoil the party and reach the last eight of the competition for the first time since 2010.
The winner of this game will face Belgium in the Quarter-Finals.
September 9
Puerto Rico v China - 17:45 Local Time (15:45 GMT)
Puerto Rico are looking to book consecutive Quarter-Final tickets, having made it to that stage for the first time in 2022. Their leading trio of Trinity San Antonio, Imani McGee Stafford and Arella Guirantes will look to excel again.
China made the 2022 Final in Sydney and will be confident of taking another big step towards a potential return. Especially with Xu Han in great form and after wins against both Czechia and Italy in their last two outings.
The winner of this game will face France in the Quarter-Finals.
Italy v Australia - 20:45 Local Time (18:45 GMT)
Australia will continue their bid to make it to a fourth straight Women's World Cup podium and respond to a group phase loss to Belgium by beating Italy. As usual, Ezi Magbegor and Steph Talbot will likely lead the Opals.
Italy will be hoping they hit the same level as they did when they almost toppled reigning champions USA. Cecilia Zandalasini will look to fire them past Australia and send them to the top eight for the first time since 1979.
The winner of this game will face Spain in the Quarter-Finals.
