LYON-VILLEURBANNE (France) - Janelle Salaun of France has been crowned TISSOT MVP of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament in Lyon-Villeurbanne.
Helping the tournament hosts to book their ticket for Berlin with a string of eye-catching displays, the forward was at the heart of their unbeaten campaign.
France took five wins, with Salaun leading her team in points, rebounds and efficiency rating. She finished with an average of 16.7 points shooting an astonishing 79% from the floor (19-24), 6.3 rebounds for an efficiency of 19.7. This is the first MVP Trophy of her FIBA career.
Salaun will look to continue her rich vein of form at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 when France will be searching for a first podium finish since the inaugural edition in 1953.
