Nigeria were first to rack up a new high tide mark as they used their physical presence to great effect in Lyon-Villeurbanne to move past Philippines 101-84.

Canada then matched their feat by downing Americas rivals Argentina 75-41 to improve in Istanbul, using their prowess on the glass to provide the platform for victory.

Much of their record-breaking work was due to forward Aaliyah Edwards who hauled down 15 of them.
