    Game dates, groupings for Cebu showpiece all set

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office-Asia on Friday, July 10, 2026, has announced the schedule of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2027-Division A to be held on July 11-18, 2027 in Cebu City, Philippines.

    The schedule and groupings are as follows:

    The biennial meet's 32nd edition, set a year from now, will begin with the Group Phase on July 11-14 featuring three games a day, with teams finishing no. 1 in Groups A and B earning outright Semi-Finals berths.

    Their respective opponents, meanwhile, will be determined through the Qualification to Semi-Finals in the Final Phase opener on July 16, which will feature teams that finished 2nd and 3rd in their respective groups.

    Starting the knockout rounds are the Classification 7-8 on the same day, where teams finishing 4th in the pool stage will battle it out to maintain their Division A status, with the losing side relegated to Division B.

    Losing teams from the Qualification to Semi-Finals will be pitted against one another in the Classification 5-6 on July 17 in a game that will serve as the curtain-raiser to the Semi-Finals later in the day.

    Winners in the penultimate phase will then duke it out for the coveted championship in the Final on July 18, to be preceded by the Third-Place Game which will feature the losing teams from the Semi-Finals.

    All games will be played at the new SM Seaside Cebu Arena.

    Australia are coming in as the defending FIBA Women's Asia Cup champions after claiming their maiden tiara during the 2025 edition in Shenzhen, China by beating Japan in a thrilling finale, 88-79.
