The Senegalese team topped the Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) Zone 2 qualifiers with an undefeated record.

PRAIA (Cape Verde) - ASC Ville de Dakar dominated the WBLA regional qualifier in Praia with authority.

First, the Senegalese champions dispatched the hosts, Kriola Star, with a resounding 68-42 victory.

They then completed their dominance in Praia with a 124-31 victory over Guinea's Fireball, who were limited to just six players due to eligibility issues.

This 93-point victory set a new record for the 2025 WBLA Qualifiers, surpassing Kenya Ports Authority's previous record of 58 points (100–42) against Gladiators.

On the final day of the WBLA qualifiers for Zone 2 teams on Sunday, ASC Ville de Dakar asserted their dominance from the outset, leaving Fireball looking helpless.

ASC Ville de Dakar's 40–2 scoreline in the second quarter proved to be the final straw.

Diouma Berthe finished with a game-high 23 points. Four of her teammates contributed 14 points or more each.

Adja Diallo, who joined the team on Sunday, led the Guinean side with 10 points.

"There are a few details that we still need to improve on, and that's what we are going to do when we return to Dakar. The team played well here in Praia, and I feel that we can do much better," she explained. Wathie contributed seven points to the resounding victory.
