BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office-Asia on Tuesday, September 8, has confirmed the schedule of the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Final 8 2026, to be held on September 26-October 4.
The schedule is as follows:
The Group Phase will be held from September 26 to October 1 featuring double-headers in each gameday. Ittihad Club and Kuwait Club will begin the festivities, followed by a meeting between Al Riyadi and Indian Railways.
Similar to previous editions of the pan-regional competition's culminating showcase, the top 2 teams from each group will advance directly to the knockout crossover Semi-Finals, which is scheduled on October 3.
The winners will then battle it out in the 1-game Final on October 4 for the right to be called WASL champions. A Third-Place Game, meanwhile, will precede the championship bout, to be held on the same day as well.
All games will be held at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Zouk Mikael.
Al Riyadi are coming in as the defending 2-time champions, having successfully defended their throne following a 5-game sweep of the 2025 tilt, capped by a 104-77 rout of Iranian side Tabiat Basketball in the Final.
